In Secrets of the BBQ Kitchen, chef Adam Purnell welcomes us into his unique restaurant where every dish is cooked outside. Set in the picturesque Shropshire village of Ironbridge, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the restaurant during a busy service and to Adam’s private test kitchen, we’ll discover the secret techniques behind some of his most popular dishes from mouthwatering picanha beef, and a colourful medley of British seafood,to a Baked Alaska reimagined in a wood-fired oven.
With its outdoor kitchen, the restaurant is a multi-sensory experience where arriving guests see Adam and the other chefs at work and smell the food before they eat it.
The menu is a reflection of Adam’s ambition to elevate BBQ cooking and prove that anything can be made over fire – and it’s wherebanana rum sponge pudding with a thick dollop of charcoal cream, and grilled mackerel on handmade tortillas with guacamo-peas, sit alongside Adam’s fire-infused version of a classic Sunday Roast.
As more and more British families enjoy the experience of cooking outdoors all-year round, Adam shares the secrets and the recipes of his incredible kitchen, and give us the confidence to bring the magic of the fire kitchen home.
